Open Source Android Apps for Developers: Lifesaver (Transfer personal history from old to new Android phone)

Cute Android: Open Source Android Apps for Developers: Lifesaver (Transfer personal history from old to new Android phone)

Description
Lifesaver is an open source Android project which transfer personal history from old to new Android phone. When you get a new Android phone, your contacts, calendar, and schedule come with you. But, unfortunately, not your phone-call logs nor your SMS history. These are an important slice of life and LifeSaver fixes that problem.

Lifesaver will read your call and SMS histories and save the to your SD card. Then, after you’ve moved that to your new phone, you can run LifeSaver again and it’ll bring them back, so that your new phone’s history will look just like the old.

Open Source Android Apps for Developers: Nethack-android (NetHack for Android)

Cute Android: Open Source Android Apps for Developers: Nethack-android (NetHack for Android)

Description
Nethack-android is a port of the classic rogue-like game NetHack to the Android O/S for mobile devices. It runs as native code with an Android Java front-end. The initial version is based on version 3.4.3 of NetHack and supports a simple TTY user interface.

NetHack is a single-player roguelike video game originally released in 1987. It is a descendant of an earlier game called Hack (1985), which is a descendant of Rogue (1980). Salon describes it as “one of the finest gaming experiences the computing world has to offer.” The “net” element references that its development has been coordinated through USENET, even before the World Wide Web existed. The “hack” element refers to the game it was based on, Hack. The player takes the part of a dungeon-delving character in search of the Amulet of Yendor.
