Open Source Android Apps for Developers: Glesquake (GL ES Quake: A port of Quake to OpenGL ES and the Android platform)

Glesquake is an open source Android project which is id Software’s original Quake game ported to the Android platform. The original C game has been converted to a C++ shared library, which is called from an Android Java application. The original OpenGL calls have been converted to OpenGL ES. This game requires system software Android 1.6 (aka Donut) or newer.

Known bugs: – You have to supply your own copy of the pak0.pak Quake game data file. – Requires a device with a hard keyboard (such as the T-Mobile G1) to play. – No audio.
